Art Contest Guide: From Entry Submission to Voting
In this guide, you’ll learn how to:
-
create your artwork for the contest
-
add your artwork to the gallery
-
ensure that your artwork undergoes moderation successfully
-
vote for other creators’ artworks
Important: only one entry per author will be accepted for the contest.
Show Different Stages of Completion
To take part in the contest, it’s important to not only submit your end result, but also show what your work looked like at intermediate stages of completion. Our moderators will need this information to ensure that you created the submitted work yourself and didn’t primarily use AI to get the final result.
-
Submit at least 3 stages of completion (the sketch and 1 or 2 intermediate results)
-
We recommend to send us 4-5 stages of completion
-
Upload the stages of completion as separate files or make a collage as shown in the example below
-
You can submit up to 3 files with different stages of completion
This is how Art RS, the winner of one of the previous contests, demonstrated their stages of completion:

-
If your work has been rejected, you’ll be able to improve on it and resubmit it before November 5, 23:59 UTC+3.
Why Your Work May be Rejected
-
Your artwork doesn’t meet the conditions of the contest. That is, there are neither monsters nor Standoff 2 characters showcased in your work. The chosen location is not connected with the world of Standoff 2. Different stages of completion or the Standoff 2 logo are not included).
-
Key art elements (the monster, characters, and locations) are generated by AI. Your work must be original and created by yourself almost entirely. Only a little help from AI is allowed.
-
You use someone else’s or copyrighted work without permission.
-
Your artwork contains explicit or sexual content.
-
Your submission contains insults, obscene language, or demonstrates aggression towards other players or people.
-
Your work calls for discrimination and contains hate speech.
-
Your entry contains third party ads (unrelated to Standoff 2).
-
You’ve uploaded an image less than 1000px in width. There are visual artifacts and unclear details. It’s hard to tell what’s going on in the work.
-
Your entry is unfinished and low-effort (you’ve submitted unedited screenshots, unprocessed images, rough sketches, etc.). The submitted work needs a lot of improvement.
-
You’ve used different accounts, fake profiles, or accounts that don’t belong to you to enter the contest.
-
You’ve gained an unfair advantage and influenced the amount of upvotes, likes, and comments your work received, or influenced the results of the contest in any other ways.
-
You’ve failed to comply with the Creative Contest Rules.
Deciding the Winners
-
Standoff 2 developers will handpick the top 3 winners.
-
YouTuber Mammoth will decide who gets the 4th and 5th places.
-
All the above-mentioned winners will also get Shield 8 Years.
The poll that will decide the winners of the contest will be held on our art platform from November 6 to November 13. The top half of the most upvoted entries will also receive a reward from us: Shield 8 Years.
